It’s that time of the year when everybody is finishing up year-end paperwork. Yes, one of the most dreaded tasks of the season… well, at least for me. We know that it’s also a busy time to decide whether or not we are deferring our grain, or if we need to deliver more grain before the year end. Whatever the case may be, it’s an important decision to make. So please, as a reminder, let CVA know what your plans are as soon as you can. We will be busy getting checks printed for the first of the year and would like as much of a heads-up as we can get your checks ready or your contracts signed.
The sign-up period for this year’s Grain Adviser Program is almost a wrap! If you have grain stored on the farm, this is an excellent opportunity to get a portion of it sold and have a little less grain to market yourself. You can also take advantage of allowing someone else to market a portion of your new crop corn and beans through the Grain Adviser Program. If grain marketing just isn’t your “thing,” diversify your marketing plan and let someone else watch the markets for you daily. If it’s already part of your marketing plan, stay consistent, and you will see the results. Reach out to your ProEdge Grain Specialist or Risk Management Consultant with any questions. If you would like to enroll bushels in this program, please contact us before December 15, 2016. (TWO DAYS)
Right now we are also busy with a few events happening in the Central Valley Ag territory. One of those events being the ProEdge Winter Meetings – take some time and invest an hour into grain marketing for your operations. Our ProEdge Risk Management Consultants will be sharing their ideas on the current marketplace and give us some scenario-based marketing strategies for the upcoming year. A meal will be served at each winter meeting, and there will be time to discuss any questions you may have. Click here to find a meeting that fits best into your schedule – additional meeting dates will be posted as they are announced. We look forward to seeing you there!
