Emily Brichacek is an Agronomist Intern at the Oakland, Nebraska location. Emily is from Howells, Nebraska and attended Howells- Dodge Consolidated School. She is a senior at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln majoring in Applied Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Emily enjoys sewing, sports, spending time with family and friends, helping out on the farm and hunting. As a sixth generation farmer, agriculture has been the backbone of her family for years. She grew up on a farm helping her dad and brothers whenever she could. They raise corn, soybeans, alfalfa, wheat and cover crops. She plans to stay involved in agriculture for the rest of her life whether it be in her career, continuing to help on the family farm or raising livestock with her fiancé. Agriculture has always been a big part of her life, and it always will be. Emily’s goal for the summer is to learn one or more pieces of applicable information each week that will help her to feel more confident scouting a field. She describes herself as compassionate. If she could be any animal, she would choose to be a red panda.
